Law 5265/2026 sets full service at 12 months and reduced service at 9 or 6 months. Article 246 allows discharge after 9/8 months under specific conditions, and after 3 months for a qualifying category of permanent residents abroad.
How the estimate works
Choose the service term confirmed by your Recruitment Office and enter your actual enlistment date.
This estimate excludes days not counted as actual service, additional obligations and later changes to the official discharge date.
Full main service is 12 months. Reduced service is 9 or 6 months.
If you meet the special conditions, Article 246 early discharge applies: 9 months for full service, 8 months for a 9-month reduced term, or 3 months only for the specified permanent-resident-abroad category with a 6-month obligation.
The Recruitment Office determines the official date from your service record.
