Indicative gross increase

–

How the estimate works

The Ministry uses a provisional 2.6% assumption. The final rate is expected with the November Budget and has not been enacted.

The Government describes an increase based on GDP and inflation without offset against the personal difference. This scenario applies the selected rate to the full gross amount and separately compares it with the former offset method.

The comparison is provisional and excludes deductions and tax. The bill remains under public consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Is 2.6% final?

No. It is the official working assumption in the budget estimate. The final rate is pending.

Does this estimate net pension?

No. It estimates the gross monthly increase and new gross amount only.

How is the 2027 pension increase calculated?

The scenario applies the chosen rate, initially 2.6%, to the full gross amount and shows separately how the personal-difference offset changes the result. The comparison excludes deductions and tax.
