EEA (European Economic Area)
In short
The EU single market together with Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
The EEA brings together the EU member states and three EFTA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Together they form one single market.
When a rule says "EU/EEA", it also applies to these three countries. Example: Norway is in the EEA but not in the EU. Switzerland is not in the EEA, which is why many forms list it separately.
