Back pay (retroactive difference)
In short
Money owed for an earlier period and paid later, when a rule or an amount is corrected.
When a benefit or salary increases with retroactive effect, the difference for earlier months is paid together.
The difference is calculated from the date the change applies until the payment day.
If you think you are owed an amount, ask the service for the calculation in writing.
