Everyday
See today's and tomorrow's hourly wholesale electricity prices and find when to run the washing machine, water heater or EV charger.
On a dynamic (orange) tariff the price per kWh changes every hour or quarter-hour, following the Energy Exchange's day-ahead market. The tool reads the published prices and tries every start time for your appliance's cycle.
The Hellenic Energy Exchange (HEnEx) publishes the next day's prices per 15 minutes each midday, in Central European time. We convert them to Greek time, so each day uses two market files.
For every possible 15-minute start we calculate the cycle's energy cost, assuming constant power over its length, and add the supplier charge you enter.
A 2-hour wash using 1 kWh: if the cheapest two hours average 0.080 €/kWh and the dearest 0.300 €/kWh, the wash costs about €0.08 instead of €0.30 in energy.
HEnEx usually publishes results shortly after 14:00 Greek time. Suppliers announce their final prices by 17:00.
Not exactly. It is the wholesale price plus any supplier charge you enter. Your bill adds regulated charges and taxes, but the ranking from cheap to expensive hours stays the same.
Yes. Dynamic tariffs need a meter that records consumption per interval. Ask your supplier or HEDNO whether your connection has one.
