6 working days
How it is calculated
This is an individual, transferable right for working parents and may be taken as one period or in parts. The annual days increase with the number of children the employee protects.
The law defines qualifying dependants specifically. Children up to 16, older children with serious needs, a spouse and certain relatives qualify under different conditions.
The annual limit is 6 working days, 8 when the employee protects two children, and 14 when protecting more than two. The tool shows the entitlement, not the days remaining for the whole family.
