How it is calculated
e-EFKA provides eligible employees with 119 days of maternity benefit: 56 before and 63 after birth. The application is due within eight months of birth.
DYPA provides special maternity protection for up to nine months, parental leave and a benefit for part of it. Exact conditions depend on employment and insurance status.
Using the date you enter, the tool calculates the pregnancy-leave start, end of the postnatal period, application deadline and an indicative special maternity-protection period.
Parental leave is up to four months per parent and child before age eight. The first two months per child are subsidised, with special rules for single parents and multiple births.

Frequently asked questions
When is the e-EFKA application due?
The official deadline is within eight months of the birth date. Eligible employees need at least 200 work days in the previous two years.
Is all parental leave subsidised?
No. DYPA subsidises the first two months per child. Single parents with exclusive parental responsibility receive double duration, and multiple births add one two-month benefit extension in total.
Does the tool estimate how much I will receive?
No. It shows indicative dates and standard durations, not eligibility or benefit amounts. Confirm your case with e-EFKA, DYPA and your employer.
