Air quality, particles and Saharan dust for the next 4 days, with a clear note for people who are sensitive to air pollution.
Air quality is measured with the European Air Quality Index (EAQI) of the European Environment Agency. The numbers are a model forecast, not a station reading, so your street may differ.
The EAQI is the worst of the main particles and gases, using the European Environment Agency’s bands. The numbers come from the CAMS models, via Open-Meteo.
Saharan dust is a concentration in µg/m³ with no official common limit. We use it to compare days.
When the index is “Poor” or worse, or when you can see dust. With asthma, take care already at “Medium”.
It is a grid forecast. Traffic, exhaust and the street’s position change the numbers.
Dust settles on surfaces. Close windows when it is dense, and wipe with a damp cloth rather than sweeping.
