See the fire-weather risk map and satellite hotspots for your area, from the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS).
The Fire Weather Index (FWI) combines temperature, humidity, wind and rain to show how easily a fire can start and spread. Hotspots mark spots that satellites recently detected as very hot. They do not show every fire burning right now.
The image is requested from EFFIS's public WMS service (Copernicus) for the view you pick. The tool stores nothing and needs no account.
The FWI is computed by Copernicus from weather models. Hotspots come from satellite sensors (MODIS, VIIRS, NOAA).
Call 112. The map is not an emergency service and does not show street-level points.
The index shows conditions, not a fire already started. Dry vegetation, heat and wind are the risky mix.
Hotspots and the map refresh in cycles of a few hours. For live updates, follow the Fire Service announcements.
The map is refreshed daily, not in real time.
Call 112 immediately. Do not wait for a map to decide. Follow the Fire Service and authority instructions.
