Everyday
Enter how many you are and for how many days; see water and the list.
The 72-hour self-sufficiency recommendation comes from the European Union and is not binding. Published lists are generic or disagree, especially on water.
The tool counts adults, children, infants, elderly people and pets and applies 6 litres per person per day, the higher of the two figures in circulation. It also shows the lower 1 litre estimate so the disagreement is visible.
The list adds non-perishable food, medicines, a torch, a radio or power bank, documents in a bag, cash and spare keys. No products are recommended.
Two adults, one child, three days: 3 × 6 × 3 = 54 litres of water.
Sources give 6 litres or 1 litre per person per day; the tool uses the higher figure.
The base is the same; for an earthquake or a fire add documents and the medicines you take along.
