Everyday
A 7-day forecast for each coast with a weather rating for fishing, the moon phase and the traditionally best hours.
Weather decides whether it is sensible to go out. The moon and the hours around dawn and dusk are tradition.
For the coast you choose we read Open-Meteo's daily wind, gust, rain and wave forecast. Gusts up to 25 km/h with waves up to 0.6 m and little rain are rated good, over 40 km/h or 1.2 m rough, anything between fair.
The moon phase is calculated. New and full moon are marked as traditionally more active. The best hours are the hour before and after sunrise and sunset.
The rating is a comfort and safety guide for shore or small-boat fishing and does not replace the harbour authority's forecast.
No firm proof. It is a long-standing angler's rule, shown here as tradition.
No. Seasons, size limits and protected areas apply and differ by place.
The marine model has no data for some points, so the rating uses wind and rain only.
It only means the forecast is mild. Check conditions on the spot and tell someone where you are going.

The rating only says whether the weather is comfortable and safe for shore or small-boat fishing: gusts up to 25 km/h and waves up to 0.6 m count as good, over 40 km/h or 1.2 m as rough. It does not replace the harbour authority's forecast. The moon and the dawn and dusk hours are anglers' tradition, not proven science. Fishing rules and local restrictions apply.
