Fuel prices in every EU country from the Commission's bulletin, and whether a fill-up across the border pays after the extra kilometres.
The gap between Greece and its neighbours is large, but only part of it survives the extra driving.
Every week the European Commission publishes national average prices with taxes for petrol, diesel, heating oil and LPG. We read the latest bulletin and show each country in euro per litre, with the average.
The calculator takes the price gap times the litres you will fill, then subtracts the fuel you burn on the extra kilometres compared with filling up in your own town, priced at the foreign price. It also shows the break-even distance.
Tolls, vignettes and your time are not included.
No. They are weekly national averages. Stations near a border can be cheaper or dearer than the average.
The workbook link keeps an older date in its name, so the page reads the date inside the sheet.
Rules on carrying and importing fuel differ by country and can carry fines. Check them before you travel instead of relying on cans.
The bulletin covers member states. Prices in North Macedonia, Albania and Turkey are not in it.

Prices are weekly national averages, not border-station prices, which can differ a lot. Tolls, vignettes and your time are not included. Do not carry fuel in cans: transport and import rules differ by country, so check them before you travel.
