Real estate
The official quarterly index for urban areas, 1997–2019, with the peak, the trough and annual changes.
Asking prices dominate search. The Bank of Greece index shows something different: the direction of the market, without listings or hand-picked properties.
We read the Bank of Greece historical file with the quarterly house price index for urban areas, base year 1997. The page shows the series, the peak, the lowest point and each year's change.
The file's series ends in 2019. Newer values are published in a different Bank publication and are not added here without verification, to avoid suggesting today's price.
Not from this index. It measures a level, not €/m², and covers urban areas as a whole.
This historical-series file is no longer updated. The Bank publishes newer data elsewhere.
No. There is no neighbourhood breakdown here and we do not pretend there is.
