Type the prices from the fare table and your trips; the tool finds the break-even.
Urban fares are not one number: single ticket, 90-minute ticket, daily, five-day, monthly and annual pass, reduced and airport. The right choice depends on how often you travel, not on which pass sounds cheapest.
Type the single-ticket price and the monthly pass price as they appear on the official or OASTH table, with your trips per week and the weeks you travel in a month. The tool works out the monthly cost with tickets, the cost of the pass and the number of trips where the two meet.
If the break-even is below your trips, the pass is cheaper. If you are close to it, remember the pass also covers trips you did not count, but is wasted in a month you do not travel.
With a €1.20 ticket, a €27 pass and 48 trips a month, tickets cost €57.60 and the pass €27; the break-even is 22.5 trips.
Prices change and differ by city. The and OASTH fare tables are the source; the tool copies no tariff.
The arithmetic is the same; type the reduced price. Student, unemployed and senior rules are checked on the table and at the ticket offices.

The tool does arithmetic on the prices you type; it publishes no fare table. The fares and the student, reduced and airport rules are checked on the OASA or OASTH table, because they change and differ by city.
