LPG (autogas)

In short

The liquefied gas burned by cars fitted with an LPG system, cheaper per litre than petrol.

Autogas is fuel for cars that have a factory-fitted or converted LPG system. Its price is published next to petrol and diesel on the Fuel Price Observatory (fuelprices.gr), by prefecture.

Example: in the weekly bulletin of 28 August 2026 the national average was €0.960 per litre for autogas and €2.039 for unleaded 95, VAT included.

Consumption per kilometre is not the same as with petrol. To see whether a conversion pays off, compare the cost per kilometre together with the installation cost, not just the price per litre.
