What the law actually fixes for a consensual divorce — and where only your lawyer's quote can answer.
A consensual divorce in Greece is completed by notarial act, not by a trial. The one fixed statutory figure is the lawyer's fee for appearing at that act: €321 each, excluding .
Each spouse needs their own lawyer, so that fee is charged twice. The notary and the registry cost extra, and the amounts published by law firms vary in what they include.
Lawyers: the statutory €321 per lawyer is multiplied by two — one lawyer for each spouse — and at 24% is added, because the amount is stated net.
Notary and mediation: these are inputs. Mediation uses €50 for the first session plus €80 per further hour, shared, when no written fee is agreed.
Contested divorce: no figure is produced. The tool returns “needs a lawyer's quote” with the official sources instead.
Example: consensual divorce with two lawyers at the statutory appearance fee of €321 each, at 24%, a notary quote of €200, and optional mediation at €50 initial plus €80 per hour for 2 hours.
Lawyers: 2 × €321 = €642, plus of €154.08, gives €796.08. With the notary (€200), the total is €996.08. With mediation (€50 + 2 × €80 = €210), the total is €1,206.08.
Mediation is optional. The data says its amounts apply where there is no written fee agreement, and are shared between the two parties. Each party's share would then be about €105.
No. It is the fee for appearing at the notarial act, per lawyer, before . Drafting, negotiation and any extra work are agreed separately, which is why published totals reach €900–€2,000.
Because no current, verified statutory minimum specifically for contested divorce was found, and fees depend on the procedural acts and hearings. We return a manual-check result rather than a number.
No. The judicial stamp is 0.8% of monetary claims above €200. A claim that only asks for the marriage to be dissolved does not request a sum of money, so the tool does not charge a stamp.
No, and they are deliberately left out: they depend on the facts and need their own legal assessment and quote.
