The fee depends on the star rating and the number of rooms, spots or beds. See the amount and the 51-bed fire-certificate threshold.
The notification replaced the ΕΟΤ special operation sign. The fee is paid at the ΔΟΥ.
The fee is per unit: a room in hotels and traditional buildings, a spot at a campsite, a bed in a youth hostel. 5* is €10 per room, 4* €8, 3* €6, 2* and 1* €4, camping €5 per spot with €10 per bungalow, hostels €3 per bed.
From 51 beds a fire safety certificate is also required, which is why the tool checks the total bed count you enter.
The classification decision is due within 50 days. As the service itself notes, the final cost cannot be fixed in advance.
A 3* hotel with 12 rooms: 12 × €6 = €72. A campsite with 40 spots and 5 bungalows: 40 × €5 + 5 × €10 = €250. A youth hostel with 30 beds: 30 × €3 = €90.
The notification covers main tourist accommodation. Self-catering and short-term rentals fall under a different regime (the registry).
At the ΔΟΥ, based on the category and the number of units as the EUGO service lists them.
From 51 beds it is mandatory. Below the threshold it may still be required for another reason, such as the use or the installations.
