Benefits & allowances
Estimate the annual student rent benefit from household and study location details.
The allowance depends on the student, household, study location and current application conditions.
Use the amount as an initial estimate and confirm your family and housing details in the official application.
The estimator applies the current base amount and applicable family or regional increase where the rule data covers it.
It does not validate the lease, tax return, study duration, property ownership or other application checks.
Example: family income €28,000, two dependent children, study in Patras, a 12-month lease, no other home in the city, 120 m² of residential property and a permanent residence elsewhere.
Income limit: €30,000 + €3,000 for the second child = €33,000, so the household qualifies.
All other conditions pass: the lease is over six months, there is no other home in the city, the property is under 200 m² and the study city is not the family home.
The amount is €2,000 a year outside Attica and Thessaloniki, about €166.67 a month.
The same family with €35,000 of income is above €33,000 and the tool reports that the income condition fails.
No. The competent authority verifies the active lease, income, studies and household criteria.
The lease and study-location requirements apply. Confirm current terms in the official application.
The estimate applies the base amount and any family or area increase covered by the rules. It does not check your lease, tax return or length of study.
